LYDIA MAZZUTO PROFESSIONAL COUNSELLING SERVICES

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I CALL?

I will return your call within 24 hours and you will be asked several questions to determine your needs.  A conversation will be started about what you are looking for and if this service is the most appropriate for you.  We will determine together if you might connect better with another service or practitioner and if so, I will gladly make an alternate referral.   If you decide you would like to meet with me or Jolan, an appointment can usually be arranged within 24 hours.

I am a registered social worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers, holding two Masters Degrees in Social Work and Adult Education (Counselling Specialization).  My background includes over twenty-five years of front line work in addictions, mental health, Hepatitis C, HIV, public policy development, child protection, social justice advocacy, Employee Assistance Programming (EAP) and working with families who have experienced conflict and violence.  My work in addictions includes substance use treatment, harm reduction, withdrawal management, homelessness, concurrent disorders, including severe and persistent mental health.  Currently, I work in the Addictions and Mental Health Program,  Niagara Health System (NHS) and as a Facilitator with the Adult Education Program, Faculty of Education, Brock University.  As an Associate Social Worker with Eden Dales Social Work and Counselling Services, Toronto, ON, we also welcome inquiries for clinical social work assessments, individual, family and medical/legal assessments and counselling after the trauma of a motor vehicle accident.

Therapists at Lydia Mazzuto Professional Counselling are passionate about continuous learning and how this relates to coping and strength-based advocacy skills.  Check out the workshops page for upcoming groups and workshops.
