Sometimes, reflecting on the possibility and hope of believing things can change for the better, can ease feelings of struggle and being overwhelmed. But sometimes, this is easier said than done and many times we need help to get there. We believe in the power of strength-based approaches to therapy--the amazing, nameless, faceless, invisible "thing" that recognizes the strength of survival but also gives one hope that we ourselves have the power to change our world, one moment, one conversation, one encounter at a time. We have been privileged to work in front-line social services for over twenty-five years, primarily in addictions, mental health, child welfare and social justice. With gratitude, we have walked alongside the path of many people struggling, who taught us beyond our years of education, what it means to be resilient—in those whispers deep inside them to still hold on and even, find value in life again. It is this knowledge and commitment to the people we work with that motivates my practice today. Although there is no guarantee this will work for everyone, or that what is right for someone else, is right for you, counselling may be an option. So if you feel you have somehow, somewhere steered off course in your life’s journey, we invite you to consider working with us to help set a new path of hope today.
